Hello!  This week we are offering three different books on our Email Special, including the most recent book by D.A. Carson.

A Model of Christian Maturity, D.A. Carson (Baker Books, 192-page paperback)
How do some of the apostle Paul's most passionate words help us to understand our lives as Christians today? According to Bible scholar D. A. Carson, 2 Corinthians 10-13 most clearly reveals Paul's heart and mind. It contains well-known passages, such as Paul's description of his thorn in the flesh and an intense chronicle of his specific sufferings. This section of Scripture also models Paul's style of spiritual leadership and warns of false leadership in the church, something of crucial importance to anyone with an influential role in the body of believers.

The Priority of Jesus Christ, Tom Wells  (New Covenant Media, 158-page paperback)
The Priority of Jesus Christ presents the importance and implications of recognizing that in this, the messianic age, the revelation of God and his redemptive program is found in Jesus Christ. Tom Wells addresses concerns about the honor that belongs to God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in light of a Christocentric approach to theology and life. Drawing from both the Old and New Testaments, the author demonstrates the theological and practical necessity of living life in the light of Jesus Christ as God’s final and fullest revelation of himself.

Attitudes of a Transformed Heart, Martha Peace  (Focus Publishing, 251-page paperback)
"In Attitudes of a Transformed Heart, Martha Peace correctly recognizes that godliness is more important than outward behavior.  True godliness flows from a heart transformed by the majest of Christ.  Martha guides us to the bilical truth of God's supremacy and out tendancy to create other gods in His place.  She focuses our attention right where it belongs: on God's transcendance, our desparate need, and a sweet sufficiency of a nearby Christ and His Word."  Elyse Fitzpatrick, author of Idols of the Heart.

A Word about Shipping: We calculate the actual shipping costs for each package that we send. Unless otherwise requested, we ship via United States Postal Service Media Mail. This is not the fastest, but it is generally the least expensive. Based on the weight of the package, we calculate the postage and add in the cost of packing materials (packaging, tape, bubble wrap, packing peanuts, etc.) While this can be time consuming, we believe it to be the most fair and accurate. This is why we cannot include shipping charges in the context of our email special.

A Word about Payment: You do not have to have a PayPal account to make payment. When you receive the email invoice, it will contain a link following the words "PayPal makes it easy to send Biblical Studies Books money. Click below to send this payment." On the page that opens, there will be a button to click for those who do not currently have a PayPal account. This will enable a person to simply use his/her credit card.
